Superlock Connections Now Standard Feature on all Armstrong PeakForm Suspension System Main Beams
New Staked-On Clip Provides Tighter, More Secure Bulb-To-Bulb
LANCASTER, PA -- SuperLock, a new staked-on clip for tighter, more secure bulb-to-bulb connections is now a standard feature on all Armstrong PeakForm main beams. Armstrong is the first manufacturer in the ceiling suspension system industry to use staked-on clip technology on a main beam.
The PeakForm profile is a stronger, more stable main beam that provides better handling during installation. It also increases the load carrying capacity of the main beam while offering an easy-to-cut bulb profile. PeakForm is available on all Armstrong Suprafine and Prelude intermediate duty main beams and Prelude heavy duty main beams.
The new SuperLock end detail provides full bulb-to-bulb connection, thereby increasing strength and stability while reducing sag at the main beam coupling. Insertion of the ends is easy, and alignment is accurate. In addition, an audible "click" ensures that the connection is properly and securely locked.
PeakForm main beams with SuperLock can be easily disconnected and reconnected laterally. As a result, they are easy to install, remove and re-use, especially in tight, low-clearance conditions or in the center of a space.
All PeakForm with SuperLock main beams feature a hot dipped galvanized coating that inhibits rusting better than electrogalvanized or paint systems. They are also rotary-stitched during manufacture by a patented method to provide additional torsional strength and extra stability during installation. They also meet the requirements for installation in seismic areas up to Zone 4, the most severe.
