New Metaphors Patterns
ARMSTRONG ADDS TWO NEW PATTERNS TO
New Bead and Linear Designs Join Family That
Armstrong has added two new patterns to its line of Metaphors coffered ceilings. The new coffer designs, Bead and Linear, join a family of patterns that already includes Crown, Cove and Convex profiles.
The new Bead pattern features a traditional, shallow profile, but with crisp lines and a tailored look. The new Linear pattern is more contemporary in style, with deep channels that capture the profile’s shadow lines.
Metaphors coffered ceilings provide a classic, upscale visual along with the added benefits of acoustical performance and easy access to the plenum. They are ideal for use in lobbies, conference rooms, executive areas, restaurants and other hospitality and high visibility environments.
Coffers Provide Aesthetics Plus Acoustics
The coffers can be used with either 18"x 18" factory-cut CirrusÒ infill panels or 24"x 24" standard Cirrus, Optima® Open Plan or UltimaÔ square-edge lay-in panels. Depending on the panel, the Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) of the coffer can range from 0.50 to 0.95, meaning it will absorb 50% to 95% of the sound that strikes it.
In addition, Metaphors coffered ceilings install easily in a standard exposed tee grid system. Each coffer design is compatible with either Armstrong SuprafineÒ 9/16" or PreludeÒ 15/16" exposed tee grid systems. The new Bead pattern is especially well suited for applications where plenum height is a factor.
