Leading magazine cites website for its clean look, easy navigability,
and wealth of available product and company information

LANCASTER, PA -- Armstrong Commercial Floors and Ceiling Systems website has been named one of the ten best business-to-business websites in the country.

The honor was bestowed on the site by BtoB Magazine, a Crain Communications publication that focuses on business-to-business marketing.

In its 6th annual ranking of websites in its August issue, the magazine describes Armstrong’s commercial site as “an impressive web presence.  A clean look and easy navigability.  Plenty of product and company info available.”

Recently redesigned in collaboration with customers, the site, which can be viewed at, contains information on the company’s commercial ceiling systems, including metal, wood, mineral fiber and fiberglass, and commercial flooring product lines, including vinyl, linoleum and hardwood.  Included among its new features are a streamlined sample and literature order process, and shorter on-line forms to create custom specifications.

More Than 800 Websites Reviewed

Each year, the editors of BtoB Magazine review approximately 800 sites and award points in five categories: quality and presentation of the information; ease of navigation; design; E-commerce, and extras.  Armstrong’s website received a score of 95 out of a possible 100 points.

According to the magazine, “Winning web sites must present relevant information in an easy-to-find fashion.  They must reflect the company’s brand with the right choices in color, graphics and type.  They must engage visitors in a sale – or get them as close as possible to that point.  And they must provide resources that will keep users coming back.”

It continues by stating, “The best sites in our 2002 list go beyond product and service information, giving visitors a chance to experience the brand, to interact with helpful information or online tools, and to conduct business.”

“One of our objectives in redesigning the website was to make it more customer friendly by making it easier to use and faster to navigate than ever before,” cites April Thornton, Armstrong’s Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing.  “We’re thrilled to be named one of the top ten websites in the country and hope customers will find that time-saving and productive tools are just a click away.”
