Now, we have Environmental Product Declarations for all of our major product families, including a view of the total ceiling system. Armstrong EPD’s have been third party-certified by the ICC Evaluation Service as conforming to the requirements of ISO 14025.

Regional Materials Armstrong has the largest number of ceiling and suspension plant locations in North America
Rapidly Renewable Materials Armstrong mineral fiber panels contain plant-based binders which are biobased alternatives to petroleum-based binders.

Our WoodWorks® Bamboo ceilings as well as our BioAcoustic™ options contain rapidly renewable content. Bamboo is a grass that only requires 3-7 years for maturity and does not have to be replanted after each harvest. Our BioAcoustic ceiling products are made with jute substrate, which is a plant that grows from seed to harvest in 100 days.

Biobased products are commercial or industrial products (other than food or feed) that are composed in whole, or in significant part, of biological products, renewable agricultural materials, (including plant, animal, and marine materials) or forestry materials. The USDA certified Biobased product label verifies that the amount of renewable biobased ingredients meets or exceeds prescribed USDA standards and has met the requirements of ASTM E1264, ASTM E1477.

FSC®-Certified options are available for WoodWorks Walls and Tegular, Vector, Linear, Concealed, and Channeled ceilings.

USDA Biobase certification is available for WoodWorks, Dune™, Mesa™, Cirrus®, Ultima®, and Tierra™ Ceilings.
Certified Wood Armstrong offers standard and custom FSC-Certified (92%  mixed) composite wood ceilings and walls with a variety of veneers to meet growing demands of sustainable design projects. (Certificate Registration RA-COC-003601) FSC-certified options are available for WoodWorks Walls and Tegular, Vector, Linear, Concealed, and Channeled ceilings.
