Navy Federal Credit Union

Renovation at the northern Virginia headquarters of the Navy Federal Credit Union (NFCU) in Vienna, VA provided an opportunity for an environmentally sensitive owner to recycle used ceilings -- and donate others to worthwhile nonprofit causes. NFCU is the world’s largest credit union and has always made protecting the environment a priority. It recycles about 68 percent of its office waste. Ceilings that weren’t recycled were contributed to a small rural school and to low-income housing and non-profit facilities in Baltimore.
