Intrusive sound is distracting and annoying. Sound can also be inspiring, helpful, and communicative. The ceiling is the easiest space to control sound so it’s not just noise.

Control Three Things to Create Sound Design™
  • Reverberation Time (the time for sound to stop bouncing around a space once the source has stopped)
  • Absorption (Noise Reduction Coefficient or NRC)
  • Blocking (Ceiling Attenuation Class or CAC)
