Marking | Technical Feature for Grids

|  Reaction to Fire
|  Load-bearing Capacity
|  Durability / Class of Exposure
Testing is conducted to the harmonised European fire reaction tests and a EuroClass performance determined by these tests. The Euroclasses provide a common method for comparing the fire reaction result across the European Economic Area.
The Euroclass system provides information to indicate the tendency of a construction product to generate smoke “s”, and flaming droplets/particles “d”. All Armstrong substructure components, both steel and aluminum achieve A1 fire reaction performance.
Below is a table comparing the performance of the old national classifications in the UK with the new Euroclasses. Testing must be conducted to the European test methods and old national classification cannot be automatically transposed to have the equivalent Euroclass performance without testing.
