DECRIPTION
A closed space which allows several people to meet and work together, mainly around a table. The acoustical objective of this space is to provide comfortable speech and listening levels for all participants during the course of the meeting. Conversations should only concern those people who are present in the room. Good intelligibility inside as well as good confidentiality outside are necessary to fulfill the meeting rooms acoustical objectives.

CONSTRAINTS
Speech and listening comfort can be insufficient, depending on the distance between speaker and listener and their position around the table. External noises can disturb, it might be necessary to raise the voice, generating tiredness.

ARMSTRONG SOLUTION
Intelligibility and confidentiality are key factors for occupants of meeting rooms. A too short reverberation time generates a dead space, resulting in difficulties in communication. A product with average absorption, providing sufficient reverberation, is critical, whilst products with good sound attenuation performance will help limit disturbance from external spaces and keep private conversations within the room. If the intelligibility still isn't sufficient, for example in a large meeting or conference room, an active system of speech reinforcement is the ideal solution. Sound masking in adjacent spaces helps improve confidentiality of the conversations within the source room.
