The Company

Millions of Australians each day work under an Armstrong Ceiling System or on an Armstrong Floor. Around the world - Armstrong is the world's largest manufacturer of acoustic ceilings systems and the largest manufacturer of resilient vinyl flooring products. Manufacturing facilities are placed all over the globe, including Australia, where today, two flooring plants operate.

Armstrong in Australia is a manufacturer and supplier of acoustic ceiling and resilient floor finishes and wall systems. Building Operations (ABP) is run under the banner of Armstrong World Industries Pty. Ltd and Floor Operations (AFP) under Armstrong World Industries (Australia) Pty. Ltd... The two Armstrong floor plants are the only resilient (vinyl) flooring plants in Australia and therefore Armstrong is the only supplier committed to local manufacture.

Armstrong Building Products

Armstrong itself has distribution outlets (warehousing/offices) in Sydney serving as head office , Melbourne and Brisbane, with external distribution partners operating in New Zealand, South Australia and Western Australia, with sales professionals equipped to ensure our clients receive the right ceiling solution for their project.

In total the company leads in both architectural specifications (major projects) with its strength in technical people and the small day-to-day business via the east access distribution system.

We offer a comprehensive array of mineral fibre and metal ceiling panels, with full suspension system options for commercial environments. This range is always expanding to accommodate both technical developments and design trends, ensuring Armstrong is at the forefront of innovation.

Our customers come from all segments of the building industry, including office, healthcare, education, retail, transport and public spaces.

We also pride ourselves on our Eco credentials. Armstrong is a world leader in environmental issues in ceiling manufacture and design. Armstrong ceiling products have been Verified by Ecospecifier as “eco and health preferable and likely to contribute to Green Star™ credit points”. Not only are Armstrong ceiling panels produced from high levels of recycled material, they are fully recyclable!

The People

Close to 200 people are directly employed by the combined divisions, representing over 25 nationalities. These people are our key and there is more than 1,000 years of combined expertise within the Armstrong Australian Family. Including suppliers and associated bodies, over 1,000 people a day are at work in continuing the Armstrong market leadership.
