Armstrong announces no polish, no buff maintenance

LANCASTER, PA–Armstrong Commercial Flooring announces a no polish, no buff maintenance option for Armstrong heterogeneous sheet and tile products.

“Armstrong wants to provide customers with maintenance flexibility,” said Christian Kuswita, commercial product manager. “This new maintenance option allows customers to maintain their floors without polish and without buffing.”

The new maintenance option is recommended for Armstrong heterogeneous products including Translations™, Perspectives® sheet and tile, and Timberline®. These products have a non-strippable UV-cured urethane coating that helps to resist scratches, scuffs and stains. “In tests, Armstrong heterogeneous flooring products without polish and buffing performed very well and as good as competitive products with similar maintenance recommendations,” said Kuswita.

Initial and ongoing maintenance procedures such as sweeping or dust mopping, damp mopping and scrubbing are still necessary to maintain the appearance of floors. Ultimately, the local site conditions and facility expectation determine what specific maintenance procedures and frequencies are needed. Armstrong recommends customers follow all manufacturer recommended maintenance procedures for lasting beauty and performance.
