Over 2000 volunteers from as far away as Alaska traveled to Lanier to help makeover the school. Floors were among the items in need of updating. “After 40 years and 400 kids every Monday through Friday—your floors are bound to need some updating,” said Lainer Charter Elementary School Principal William Crowe.

Armstrong® Commercial Flooring was the exclusive hardsurface flooring provider for “School Pride” and was happy to supply MIGRATIONS® BioBased Tile® with BioStride® as a solution to Lainer’s needs.

MIGRATIONS BioBased Tile or BBT® is a revolutionary flooring that uses a patent-pending polymer, BioStride, made with rapidly renewable resources. The biobased portion of BioStride offers a sustainable alternative to petroleum-based products while providing equal or better performance. MIGRATIONS BBT addresses the most-used category of resilient flooring— composition tile—so it exerts maximum impact on the market by providing a greener product at an affordable price point.

“The new floors add to the positive learning environment we’re trying to create for our students,” said Crowe. “‘School Pride’ was a great gift and an example of how community effort can make change happen.”

Armstrong is the industry’s commercial flooring leader offering a broad selection of flooring products with variety of colors, patterns and sustainable attributes suitable for any educational facility. Let Armstrong make your job a little easier by being your one-stop-shop for all your flooring needs.
