The Blue Angel

The Blue Angel is one of the oldest eco-labels. The German Federal Environmental Agency and the German Institute of Quality Protection and Control Labels are responsible for awarding it.

This federal environmental label has been awarded to Armstrong DLW Linoleum as compared to other similar products it

• has unimportant environmental pollution
  
• has high health protection
  
• is handy and of high usage

Armstrong DLW fulfils all quality and principles requirements according to the rules of manufacturing linoleum flooring.

For the consumer the label documents strict environmental compliance under survey of the autonomous German Institute of Quality Protection and Control Labels.

Swan Label

The Nordic Council of Ministers decided to introduce the Swan, an official ecolabelling system common to the entire Nordic region.

Armstrong DLW Linoleum reaches all criteria which are formulated in consultation with experts from industry, environmental organizations and government authorities:

• Attention to the product's impact on the environment from the raw material to waste – i.e. throughout the product's life cycle.
  
• Standards with regard to quality and performance. The product must beat least as good as similar products on the market.´
  
• Criteria are raised repeatedly to ensure that a product carrying the Swan label is always at the cutting edge of environmentalism

DIN EN ISO 14001

This environmental management standard is applicable to any organization that wishes to:

• implement, maintain and improve an environmental management system
  
• assure itself of its conformance with its own stated environmental policy (those policy commitments of course must be made)
  
• demonstrate conformance
  
• ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations
  
• seek certification of its environmental management system by an external third party organization

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is a worldwide federation of national standard bodies.

ISO 9001 sets out the requirements for a quality management system. Armstrong DLW received this distinction, as its business activities range all the way from design and development to production, installation and servicing.
