Stephen J. Senkowski is executive vice president of Armstrong World Industries, Inc. and chief executive officer of Armstrong
Building Products/Asia-Pacific Operations, a division of Armstrong World Industries.
Mr. Senkowski is a member of Armstrong’s Office of the Chairman, which works to facilitate and manage change across lines
of business and functional areas.
Mr. Senkowski was most recently senior vice president for Building Products, responsible for sales, marketing and new business
in the Americas. Armstrong Building Products is a $750 million business with operations in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
Mr. Senkowski has also served as president of WAVE, Armstrong’s joint venture with Worthington Industries that manufactures
grid suspension products. Under his tenure, the Company became the market leader in grid suspension systems. He is now chairman
of WAVE’s board of directors.
Mr. Senkowski joined Armstrong in 1973 as an industrial engineer in its ceiling plant in Marietta, Pennsylvania. He held leadership
positions in its former carpet, insulation and wall panel organizations.
Mr. Senkowski earned a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Lehigh University. He is a member of the National
Association of Manufacturers, the Design Futures Council, a member of the board of directors of the Armstrong Foundation,
and is 2008-2009 chairman of the board of the United Way of Lancaster. Mr. Senkowski is a native of Lancaster where he lives
with his wife.
