Hi Sharon!
In order to answer your question, it would be helpful to know a few more details about the room where the flooring would be installed. Is this room going to be temperature-controlled year-round or will it be left unheated at times? What is the flooring going to be installed directly over - a concrete slab? Also, will the room be exposed to any outdoor elements? If so, I can't recommend any Armstrong products.

If the installation is over concrete, you should perform moisture tests on the slab prior to installation. If the results are under our recommended amounts, you can proceed. Laminate is often the ideal product for a “sun room” since it will do well with some temperature fluctuation and would be warranted against fading from sunlight. Also, laminate is a floating floor, so it would be installed over an underlayment pad, which would provide additional protection against “bottom-up” moisture concerns.

Good luck!

We had a porch that we turned in to a room. what kind of floor can we use? We were told because there isn't a foundation under the room moisture will get under a laminate and be ruined in a few years. We really love laminate for cost, looks and ease of installing. Thanks Sharon
