Armstrong Vinyl Flooring

If you haven’t looked at vinyl sheet floors lately, you may be pleasantly surprised. Vinyl sheet has come a long way since the days when patterns looked fake, and the floors were super-shiny and plastic-y. Today’s vinyl sheet floors are produced with state-of-the-art, 3D print and embossing technologies that allow manufacturers to create realistic images and textures, so stone patterns feel like real stone and wood patterns feel like real wood.

3D Technology

Armstrong Vinyl FlooringAs a marketing specialist for vinyl sheet floors, I decided I needed to know more about how these realistic images were created, so I asked our flooring designers. What I found out was very interesting. They actually scour the globe, visiting quarries and natural stone factories to select the most beautiful stones. Then they bring them back to Armstrong and scan them into a high tech scanner. Armstrong is one of only two companies in the world that have this type of scanner. By scanning the stones, our designers are able to send the highest resolution, 3D images to a printer that reproduces these images in our manufacturing plants on giant rolls of vinyl sheet. The result is the clearest, most realistic images available anywhere. We also use this same process for our wood and alternative vinyl sheet collections as well.

Affordable & Easy to Clean

Armstrong Vinyl FlooringVinyl sheet flooring is a great choice for the budget-conscious consumer who wants a high-end stone visual but may not have the budget to purchase a real stone floor. Vinyl sheet is also a great choice for consumers with active households because it won’t rip, tear or gouge under normal household use. And it’s easy to keep clean!

If you haven’t taken a look at vinyl floors lately and you want an incredibly beautiful, durable and easy-to-maintain flooring option, visit your local Armstrong retailer and check out the displays. See for yourself how vinyl sheet floors from Armstrong have come a long way since Grandma’s day.

Francesca Vaughn is in the marketing department at Armstrong and has been with the company for over 10 years. She is the third generation in her family to work at Armstrong and takes great pride in the history of the company. I looked at your vinal sheet flooring but was disappointed that there were no really light colored samples. I took the two lightest ones home and put them on the existing floor and my kitchen is so small in area that I need to keep it very light- but I do want more of a fleck in the flooring so it doens’t always have to be immaculate to hide crumbs, ect– I don’t like being a slave to my floor either- I also want the shiny look much like my current soft vinal kitchen floor- It’s easy to clean and always looks good without looking dull- I am concerned about putting anything down that has such a hard finish that if I fall as an elderly person, I will surely break something- That is one of the reasons I won’t put down tile- very dangerous for elderly- also—I love the idea that my husband and I can do this ourselves- He is very handy but knows little about laying vinal rug whereas this is very doable making it more affordable– Any ideas?

Hi! My apologies for the delayed response. I’m sorry you were disappointed when searching our website for a new floor, however I do thank you for contacting us, and I hope I can be of some assistance. I believe we have the ideal product for your home in our CushionStep line of flooring. CushionStep is the thickest vinyl we manufacture and can be installed as a DIY project, like our fiberglass line of sheet vinyl flooring. This product is the softest sheet vinyl we manufacture, and it’s designed for under foot comfort. There are light-colored designs in this line of sheet vinyl, and it’s available in stone and natural looks, as well as wood visuals. We do not currently offer many high gloss sheet products, and CushionStep is a line which is made with all low gloss designs. With that being said, we offer a maintenance polish called Shinekeeper which can be applied periodically with a mop to increase the gloss of the vinyl. This product does need to be periodically reapplied, and this is all detemined by the amount of traffic the floor will receive. Shinekeeper floor polish is available through Lowe’s and Home Depot. Attached you will find a link to our website which will take you directly to the CushionStep line. If you have any questions regarding the installation or maintenance of this floor, please feel free to contact our Customer Relations and Technical Services department. They can be reached at (800) 233-3823, or via email at AFP_CRTS@Armstrong.com.
