How Much Does It Cost?
Product + Installation = Total Cost
Product Cost
$0.75 to $14.00/sq. ft.
Ceramic price is based on:
- The number of glaze applications: These add to the beauty and the cost of the tile. An inexpensive tile might have one or two applications; better tiles have three or more.
- The type of product: Porcelain clay is more expensive than terracotta and other types.
- The thickness: A thick tile is heavier, so the cost of shipping it is higher. That cost will probably be passed along to the consumer. However, unlike other flooring products, tile thickness has no bearing on product quality or durability.
Installation Cost
$2.00 to $6.00/sq. ft.
Installation can be as expensive as the product itself. Costs can vary greatly, based on geography (labor rates) as well as subfloor preparation needs. Armstrong recommends that you contact an Armstrong Certified Installer to provide you with an accurate installed cost estimate.
