Board-to-Board Color Variation

Board-to-Board Color Variation
Wood is a natural material that features changes in color and tone. The board-to-board color variation is more pronounced in some species, less in others. If you like the look of contrasting light and dark tones, select a species that offers most color variation. If you prefer consistent color from board to board, choose the least color variation.

Hardness Scale

Hardness Scale
The density/hardness of the wood species and its ability to withstand foot traffic, children and pets will impact its wear performance, and will vary from species to species. Strong, resilient Oak is used as the industry benchmark. The hardness scale shown to the left shows the relative hardness of this wood species.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Finish - Great Color tones - Cocoa Brown First I was doubtful to have dark colors installed on the floor. I saw the sample and it was the right color I was expecting to use.The floor was installed and I was blown away by the smooth shining texture(reflection of the light from the floor) , color variation and consistent smooth beveled edge finish. You see a rather very thin line between plank edges after installation, and its great as dirt wont get accumulated between planks. And it has 50 Yr warranty and is classified as "Best" in its category. The look says it all. Overall I'm very happy and satisified with this product and we chose took the 31/4 inch plank. Note that the color on the website is not the exact color you would see in real sample. The real sample has much better color tones and variarion than the ones shown on this site. I recommend anyone using this product to first look at the sample and then decide to go for it. Thank you Armstrong for a great product. April 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by this product is AMAZING!!!!!!!!! i was looking for a hardwood floor company and i heard from a neighbor that they used armstrong, i asked them how it looked, how it was, how easy it was with dogs, etc. and they said well look at our floor do u see any gashes or any scratches on our floor? now their floor was not scratched at all so i went to armstrong and they helped me with a bunch of things like how much it will cost etc. i decided to get maple in cocoa brown and i loved it ever since they put the first plank down. there are barely any scratches and no gashes! my dog is the most hyper thing in the world and i've not seen that many scratches, and have i mentioned no gashes. the floor hasn't chipped yet and i've had this product for quite a while now. Pretty much, the floor is amazing and i love it! if i were you i would get this flooring and with out a doubt wouldn't wait. go to armstrong where your dream floor awaits. November 1, 2011
