Board-to-Board Color Variation

Board-to-Board Color Variation
Wood is a natural material that features changes in color and tone. The board-to-board color variation is more pronounced in some species, less in others. If you like the look of contrasting light and dark tones, select a species that offers most color variation. If you prefer consistent color from board to board, choose the least color variation.

Hardness Scale

Hardness Scale
The density/hardness of the wood species and its ability to withstand foot traffic, children and pets will impact its wear performance, and will vary from species to species. Strong, resilient Oak is used as the industry benchmark. The hardness scale shown to the left shows the relative hardness of this wood species.

Stair Nose

Stair Nose
TS9RK67H

A molding undercut for use as a stair landings trim, elevated floor perimeters, and stair steps. Fasten down firmly with adhesive and nails or screws. Pre-drill nail holes to prevent splitting.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Can't get a better look... Love the overall look of the floors, however, the color is hard to keep clean and does show scratches easily. But is much more durable that other flooring I have owned in the past (Bamboo). We installed around 1100 sq ft and did have several pieces that were dis-colored, that we had to work around, which was disappointing, would have expected better quality control from Bruce/Armstrong. Rated 4 out of 5 by This product has a beautiful finish. The floor is beautiful. The only problem is that because of the deep color, any little chip shows through easily. I love the look but have already used the "touch up" marker that I ordered to cover a few little chips on the edges of planks. This is my first hardwood installation and I love it and would certainly recommend this product. September 13, 2011
