 Score The Damaged Tile

Use your square and utility knife to score an "X" through your damaged tile. Make sure to cut completely through the tile

Use Your Heat Gun To Remove Tile

Apply your heat gun to the center of the floor tile. As the tile begins to break, use a scraper or putty knife to remove the pieces. Work from the center outward until you’ve removed the entire tile.

Next, use your putty knife to remove the old grout surrounding the tile.

Clean the whole area thoroughly.

 Apply New Adhesive

Apply Armstrong S-288 Flooring Adhesive with a disposable paint brush in the repair area and allow it to dry to a tacky feel. (You can touch it with your finger and no adhesive comes off.)

 Install New Tile

Apply spacers on three sides of the repair area and insert the new tile. Remove the spacers and then hand roll the tile into place.

Follow normal grouting procedures and clean the new tile with a cellulose sponge.
