Unexpected beauty!
The mix of light and dark tones is very rich and cozy. None of my family or friends could tell it is laminate flooring. I have more traditional, mono tone colored laminate in my bedrooms. This floor turned out to be my favorite and it does look more like real wood than my other laminate floors. It is durable with my pets and the high gloss shine is beautiful and very easy to clean with a damp mop.

Absolutely beautiful Santos Mahogany
We put this in our master bedroom. It's gorgeous to say the least. We weren't quite sure how this would hold up with our four legged children, but to our surprise, it still looks great.

Beautiful, but impractical
I am not the type of person who writes a review, but feel it is important to warn consumers not to make the same mistake we did.
The floor is gorgeous. One of the most beautiful flooring I've seen until the first time you walk on it, live on it or clean it. I find it incredibly frustrating and hard to believe that the durability is so poor.
My husband and I built our dream home and chose a laminate floor because we had it (a different brand) in our old house and it was extremely durable. We installed this flooring through our entire new home with an exception of the kitchen, bathroom and laundry. It did not take long to realize how fragile the floor is. You can not clean it without noticeably scratching it. You can not wear shoes or slippers on the floor and if anyone in your household (or your company) have oily skin, it leaves behind foot/hand prints. EVERYTHING touching the floor must have felt or it will severely scratch the finish of the floor..this includes the smallest items, such as children's toys.
I am embarrassed to have company over because of the condition of the our "new", very scratched floor. Have much anxiety when my son plays on the floor because if you drop anything it will leave a noticeable gouge mark. If a spill occurs the joints will raise.
We have such buyers remorse, we have not yet installed baseboards on the floor, because we are trying to save enough money to replace it.
On the positive side...the appearance is like no other floor, it was not difficult to install and it cleans easier than my last laminate floor.

Looks good but impossible to clean
I bought a Shark Steamer thinking it would be easy to keep clean. I notice what looked like the color coming off from the floor onto the cleaning pad. I then noticed it left streaks and a film all over. After looking here I saw it says do not clean with water as it will damage laminate. So I bought some hard wood and laminate floor cleaner. It also smugges and leave a film. I then took a damp towel and had to buff out all the smugges.
I would NOT recommend this floor. I would get something that you can clean so it looks good without having to buff it clean

Beautiful with a Dark Side
This floor is absolutely beautiful to look at. It's shiny as brilliant in color. However, since it is high gloss, the moment you walk on it with shoes, you move a piece of furniture or essentially "live" on it, it scratches and looks horrible. I have had this floor less than a year and there are thin hairlike scratches on it. When you turn on the lights or open windows the whole floor looks like it has been in the house for years.
While this floor is a masterpiece to look at, it is not practical if you want to walk on it.

More Cons Than Pros
I have used Armstrong laminate in the past and was very happy with its quality. In fact, it was a key reason that I chose this particular floor over others.
Appearance: The look of this laminate is fantastic. Great colors, tones, and grain patters.
Durability: Paper towels would hold up better on my floor. I have had this flooring installed in my family room for three months, and every single board is SIGNIFICANTLY scratched. I even have at least two different gouges in the floor from who-knows-what.
Quality: Obviously, the complete lack of durability means that it is NOT the quality product that is advertised. Additionally, the connection points were crack on many boards and some laminations were completely raised because the sides of the boxes had been pushed against in shipping.
Ease of installation: Generally, this goes in like any laminate floor. However, I graded it below average because I had to "clean up" the cracked portions of connections on so many boards just so that they would interlock correctly.
Ease of Cleaning: Nothing special here. If you install it correctly, and everything is nice and tight, even liquid spills will come up easily and without any long-term damage.
I do not recommend this product to anyone unless they are intending on never allowing anyone or anything into the room being redone. Dirt on your slippers, the dog's nails, a laundry basket, or "kids" will scratch this floor so badly that it will look older than your house within one year. I have done extensive building and remodeling work on my own homes for years, and this is the worst product I have used for any individual project.
To make matters worse, Armstrong has told me that I can file a warranty claim, but they will need to determine that there was a manufacturing defect in the product in order to honor it.

I love my floors!
I had my floors installed in my 3 bedrooms and hallway. It looks great and is so easy to clean. I am having a little problem with the squeaking. I have been told by installers that I know that this is a floating floor and this will stop as the floor settles. Hoping that this is true. Otherwise a great investment. I highly recomend this flooring.

Beautiful in a showroom but that's it!
This floor is beautiful to look at, And that is the only nice thing I can say about it. We thought we paid top dollar for a nice durable floor, we were very wrong. The first week we had it it had scratches from a little tikes grocery cart with brand new plastic wheels? If you drop a match box car it puts a dent in it, if you drop something heavier it takes a big chip out of it. It is very squeaky. And it iimpossible to keep clean, it shows every speck of dirt, drop of water and foot print. So disappointed in this major purchase we put in our bedroom, living room, hallway, and dining room:(. We have had it 6 1/2 months.

Grand Disillusion - poor design for a premium product...
Installation <45 days old. Squeaks at 80% of the planks joins, poor design of the locking mechanism allows a vertical movement between the planks. The squeaking Issue was discovered in early stages during day one of the installation when the area covered with the product was only a 30'x4' ! Product came as a 12mm thickness. I wonder why starting this month its advertised as a 14mm product...was there any improvement in the locking mechanism...

Great Look
Looks great. Installed myself. It was fairly easy to install. The glossy look does mean you have to clean it or it can show smudges. I get compliments all day long. Not many people have this unique look. It is what it is.

not worth the money!!!
Looks great at first. Wears terrible, smears and smudges everytime you try to clean it! Scratches very easily! Do not reccomend if you have children or high traffic! Had it installed in Nov. By Jan the finish was worn off in several areas!!!!

Best flooring we've ever owned
We have this installed for 2 years and have nothing but good to say about it. We actually took a leftover piece and scratched over it with the side of a quarter until the burrs wore off the quarter. It did not scratch even then.
Maintenance is a breeze and with 4 boys and 2 dogs in the house I wouldn't buy anything else.
Very easy to install with all the good service and installation tips I got from my local flooring store

Looks awesome...doesn't stay that way.
Flooring is beautiful. I've received a lot of compliments that it looks like hardwood, or engineered hardwood (from a professional home designer). Installation was fairly easy - some boards went "in" smoother than others. The main draw back is that this stuff isn't that durable. It super delicate and scratches/chips very easily. This has been extremely disappointing for my wife and I as we bought laminate thinking it would hold up better than hardwood with a young family...

Looks nice but scratches very easily.
We had this product installed and had it one week when I carried a plastic clothes basket up the steps. I set it down at the top and pushed it a little. It scratched the high gloss laminate flooring. I don't want to have to worry about every little thing I set on the floor. I have tried the suggestions from Armstrong and they didn't work. If you plan on actually using your floor I would not install this product, I would go with something with a texture. It is supposed to last for years and it is already scratched and it wasn't cheap. Also, we have been waiting for 2 months for the step transitions that match. Armstrong keeps delaying the delivery date and we are still waiting.
We went with laminate because it is supposed to be more durable than hardwood. We are very dissatisfied with this product and regret our choice. It does look nice and I love the color. I don't see why they would sell a product that you have to be so careful with. It is a floor. We had it installed in kitchen, dining area and hallway.

Ease on installing and look after
Of all of the flooring my wife and I have used thru the years. This was the easiest to install, all of of locked in together with ease. No manner how we cut it to fit, the grain match was a no brain-er to match.
Upon completion the look of the floor was unbelievable, it was hard to believe we did this in only a in couple of hours.
It has been 6 months since the project was done and it looks like the day we did,we would recommend Armstrong flooring to everyone

This floor not only looks amazing; it is durable and a dream to clean!
We purchased the caramel birch flooring for our living room and library room. Immediately the rooms seemed larger and brighter. The floor is smooth and has a nice shine and looks clean and crisp. Due to the thickness of the wood and the cushion on the bottom, the floor feels durable and comfortable and it is nice to walk on with bare feet. Overall, the floor looks extremely expensive even though it is reasonably priced and it improved the look of both rooms. Keeping the floors clean is a breeze!
