Easy Alterna™ Installation

Hi, I am Tony.
I am here to talk to you about installing Alterna by Armstrong.
Alterna is a very easy install compared to ceramic tile.
You don’t need a wet saw or a special backer board.
All you need is trowel, float, utility knife, some spacers,
a bucket, sponge and a roller.
Spread your adhesive,
let it dry to touch so it doesn't transfer to your finger,
you are ready to install your tile.
Alterna can be grouted or installed without Grout,
by tight fitting the tiles next to each other.
For a grouted install, lay your first tile,
install a spacer, then lay your next tile.
Alterna can be walked on immediately
so you can install a whole room at one time.
Our grout is an acrylic grout,
which resist stains and there is no special sealers needed.
It will dry completely in 24 hours.
Unlike ceramic, which can take up the 3 days,
you can install Alterna in 1 day
so you don’t have to wait to walk on your new floor.

Easy DIY with Luxe Vinyl Planks
Perfect for any DIY skill level, Luxe Plank™ luxury vinyl is the durable, waterproof flooring that can be installed anywhere in your home. In this video, customer service rep, Joshua, explains how simple it is to install Luxe Plank.
Hi, my name is Josh and today I will be talking about
the Armstrong Luxe Plank.
The Luxe Plank is a very durable, very stained and water resistant floor.
It is extremely easy to install and perfect for the DIYer
who may not have a lot of installation experience.
The only tool is needed for this installation
is a straight edge and a utility knife to make any necessary cuts.
To install the plank all you need to do is remove this adhesive strip
and align it to the previous plank
making sure you are aligning it at least 6 inches or more.
If you have to make an adjustment simply lift the plank back up
and align as necessary.
This floor is very easy to maintain.
The only recommended work needed
is the Armstrong Once ‘N Done Vinyl Floor Cleaner
other than that you can do your everyday dry mopping.
I get to talk to a lot of our customers and one that sticks out
was a woman who had flood damage and was out of her home for 2 days.
When she returned she was surprised to see that her floor
looked as good as it did when it was first installed.
This goes to show how water resistant this floor really is.
If a plank was to curl up or you need to do a replacement plank
you can use a heat gun or blow dryer to loosen up the adhesive strips
and place the new plank in its place.
You can also reroll the plank to bend it back down.

Installation OptionsThe installation options available to you will vary with the Luxury Vinyl flooring type you choose. Luxe Plank™ can be installed anywhere in the home and since it adheres to itself, not the subfloor, it can go over most existing flooring with ease. Installation ConsiderationsReview the installation instructions carefully. No matter what kind of Luxury vinyl tile you choose, the subfloor surface
must be prepped so that it is smooth, flat and dry. Any bump, ridge, or indentation in the subfloor may eventually show through
on the surface of the vinyl tile. If you're installing directly over new concrete, it should be tested for moisture emission
rates and pH level to ensure it has cured prior to the tile's installation. |
