We put this tile in the front entrance, hallway, powder room, kitchen, back entranceway and laundry room. We did not do the install or tear-out ourselves but paid to have it done.
The tile looks easy to install...I watched the installer mark it and then break it to fit all my corners, cupboards, etc. Make sure you are excellent at measuring.
Be sure to figure out which pattern you want and which way you want the pattern to run. Do this with a few tiles before the installers get there. Some of the lines make the room look longer so it is important to know how you want the tile put down.
We had trouble with a haze of grout that remained after the installers had left. They came back and went over the entire floor to get rid of this haze. You could see the swipe marks. Rinse well and many times.
The other issue is the grout. Decide the size of the grout line that you want. Also decide what look you want. We originally selected a grout the same tones as the tile and when it was grouted, the floor looked like sheet vinyl. Very disappointing. So the grout was removed and a darker colour that highlighted the individual tiles was added. This made all the difference.
The floor has only been down for 2 weeks but believe others when they say it is nice to walk on. No hardness....feels great underfoot.
It has been cold here and also very hot but the floor does not change...remains room temp.
Another reason I selected this flooring was because of my dogs. I did not want hardwood that would scratch.
It also seems to absorb the sound....so it is quiet.
So, I am quite satisfied....and the guarantee is great!
I would not hesitate to recommend it for its durability, feel underfoot, and temperature. It looks like ceramic but has all these benefits.

Rated 4 out of 5 by edeliz Cost savings, but still good looks
I had my doubts when this floor was installed in our rental income house, but once it was done, it looked quite nice. I did find some issues with the corners where there was some loosening of the laminate. Not sure if it was our installer. There is a feel difference that one has to get used to. But, all in all, this is a great alternative to pricier products.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Alan Great appearing and durable vinyl product!
We chose to install vinyl tile in our home because it is softer and warmer under foot, compared to ceramic tile, is water and scratch resistant and has a minimal height of less than 0.2”. We selected Armstrong Alterna Allegheny Slate Copper Mountain because of the very realistic look compared to natural slate when grouted and lifetime residential warranty.

Rated 2 out of 5 by kwak Would not buy this product again
We were told by the flooring company we bought the flooring from that this flooring would hold up just as well as other products. We were told this is a great product for the kitchen due to its durability, wear and tear and being waterproof for all the utilities in our kitchen and mud room. We love how it looks and feels, but we have only had the flooring for 6 months and with normal wear and tear in a kitchen it is not holding up. We have dropped 2 pans (small) about 1 - 1.5 feet from the floor and both times it took literally a chunk out of the floor. We are not hard on our flooring, & we are careful. This floor should have lasted us many many years as we were told it would. We are extremely disappointed in this investment!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bella We love it!
We had ceramic tile in our kitchen/dining area for 23 years. We chose Armstrong because it was the look we wanted. Our hope was it would be warmer and easier to take care of. It looks like a true slate floor and the colors are beautiful. It is only 3 weeks old so I can't speak to the durability but I am not worried.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Jana277 Beautiful colors and easy to install
Love the flooring for the colors and durability and it was easy to install., We did our kitchen in the "Opus" 3 way design and was told by a dealer here in Calgary that these tiles can be "butted" up with no grout needed as it also states in the Armstrong catalogue.
However, the tiles, especially the 8" X 8" tiles are not cut exactly to this measurement. So when you do the three way Opus design and place your tiles down, the 8 X 8 tiles, because they are often only 7 3/8 ". leave a gap which requires grout to hide it.
But still generally pleased with the flooring for color, durability and ease of installation.

I put this tile in my basement and I love it. The color is great and to mantain the floor is easy. I was worried about the cool coming thru the concrete into the tile but this doesn't happen. The tile stays warm to your feet. I had carpet before and it feel about the same. I like it so much that I'm going to have the kicthen floor replaced next.

Rated 1 out of 5 by momof4 This product is not what they claim
We have had this floor for just a couple of months and I am not pleased with it at all. We were told it is the most durable on the market so we went with it for our kitchen. We have cuts and holes all over it and we have not even had it that long. I feel like we are extremely careful with the floor even though it is supposed to be durable. I am very dissatisfied with this floor.
