Rated 5 out of 5 by Denise Great Floor!
After having problems with the first floor that we ordered, I was nervous about any flooring. But love the look of this floor! When we put it in we had two dogs and have since inherited a puppy. It holds up great with animals. The color is wonderful also. Most of the floors are dark or wood looking anymore. I have a country kitchen and like the open airy look. Have had lots of compliments with people that think it is ceramic tile. Everyone wants to know where I got it!

by Sandy20 Attractive Floor
I had this tile installed professionally a few months ago after being told that my subfloor would not be conducive to real tile. I was kind of disappointed, but after this flooring was laid down, I fell in love with it. The look, the feel, the color, everything is perfect. I was so worried if it would be durable enough because I have pets, but it's holding up. There is only one very tiny place where the surface seems to have "ripped" and that kind of scares me. It's so easy to clean, too, with Once 'N Done, the recommended product also manufactured by Armstrong. I did not go with the grout because it didn't seem like the salesperson was pushing it. It looks great without the grout and I don't have to worry about that extra problem with keeping it clean.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JM01 Looks fresh and clean after a few years
We had this professionally installed on the diagonal a few years ago, using sea shell color grout. I've been very happy with it, and for the most part, it has performed as I expected it to. I wanted something in a matte finish that would hide dirt and was easy to maintain. I usually damp mop with Once and Done, but about 4 times a year, I do a hands-and-knees cleaning with Once and Done and a soft toothbrush on the grout. I noticed that if I don't do that, the grout starts to look grayish over time. That's not too bad considering the time I spent trying to keep my old sheet vinyl clean. The only thing I've noticed that I didn't expect is that we've come across a few tiny cracks or "pin pricks" in the grout. I'm not sure what those are from, but my husband has been able to easily fix them by smoothing a little left over grout on with his finger. One thing I do remember is that it took several good washings by hand right after the tile was installed to get all of the excess grout off.

Rated 5 out of 5 by pensvet2 Would definitely choose this product again
I spent quite a lot of time trying to find a kitchen floor I could love and the Alterna Creme Fresh vinyl tiles have not disappointed me. I can't address durability or ease of cleaning yet since the floor was just installed but the look and feel are just what I was hoping for. We had the floor professionally installed and they did an excellent job. We opted for the pinwheel pattern which I think really adds to the overall look of the floor. I was concerned at first about how the tiles would feel underfoot but they're very comfortable. I was also concerned about dealing with grout but I've talked to other people about the epoxy grout and feel much better about how it will wear. Armstrong also has a very good warranty which includes both tiles and grout so I plan to just enjoy my beautiful new floor.

Rated 4 out of 5 by renovated out Seems good so far
This is a very new floor so I am not sure about the long run, but it seems to have good long term potential. I would not recommend self install unless your a moderate to expert DIY. I watched the guy install this and it wasn't easy. I had him grout the tile in and it looks beautiful, but the over lapped grout doesn't seem to want to come off the tile that easily. I'm hoping a few good washings will fix that. Installed in Kitchen, half-bath and hallway. Like it best in the hall and in the half bath. Installed over old laminate, and the floor is a little soft in the spots where the old kitchen wall was knocked out. I hope that isn't a long term problem for the stability of the grout. It probably would be best to rip out the old floor and install over a new sub-floor. I like armstrong products so I'm hoping this turns out to be a good choice.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Kraftyaunt Great appearance and coloration
We recently had this LaPlata Taupe/Grey 16" tile professionally installed in our laundry room. It looks as good if not better than the porcelain tile we installed in the bathroom as part of the renovation/addition. I like the fact that it is quiter under foot but still looks like stone. We left our room walls white and the bit of white in this tile just pops. We grouted it with seashell. My installer was impressed with the product. However, because it is a new installation, I truly can't comment yet on the effort it will take to keep clean. I'm counting on it to be a quality product especially since it cost more than some of the procelain or ceramic products that are on the market. I have high expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Windycity1 Glad I went with this product over others
I brought home countless samples of many different brands of luxury tiles over a month long period before deciding on this Armstrong product. I considered another brand first but when I dropped a tile in the showroom and the corner broke off, I knew I needed to look further. The Armstrong Alterna line was a bit more expensive than I wanted to go with but I felt it was a superior product that would stand the test of time. I opted for installation w/o grout since I have a rather busy countertop, the subtle tones and accents in the La Plata Carmel are a wonderful balance. So far....so good.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Josie This floor looked great in the beginning, but it is hard to clean and keep clean.
I was excited about this floor in the beginning and even put it in the laundry room and bathroom as well as the kitchen.
Now, I find this floor very hard to keep clean. Previously, I had just wet mopped it using Armstrong Once and Done, but that didn't do the job. Now, I have just finished spending nearly two hours on hands and knees with a scrub brush and Armstrong Once and Done in just the kitchen! (including two rinses.) That is more time and effort in one day than my old sheet vinyl floor required in six months! And, that 25 year old sheet vinyl stayed looking cleaner between cleanings than this new floor does. Maybe, a tile with a smoother finish or installing without grout would be better. It seems that this tile and grout attract dirt and food particles and then hang on to them. It's disappointing and depressing.
