Rated 5 out of 5 by GaryHD Great so far! We had been looking for some number of years for a flooring solution that would work for our hallway from the garage, kitchen, dining room, and bathroom-all areas "linked" in our home. One day, while shampooing the carpeting in these areas I hit upon the idea of maybe installing large stone tile. When we began to look at this idea, we came across Armstrong's Alterna and began to research that product. Ultimately, we decided to go with the Alterna, in the Sistine style, with the bisque color, and recommended grout color of seashell. The completed project looks beautiful! We had the tile laid at a 45 degree angle, and the whole floor looks very elegant. The floor is solid, but feels good on the feet. We have only had the new floor about 3 weeks as of this writing, but it gives all the look like it will be quite durable. So far, we have to give our best recomendation to our new Alterna floor. Rated 2 out of 5 by MooMoo New floor looks great, from afar, but everything dripped on it STICKS! The rough surface of the flooring makes anything dripped on it to STICK! It needs a stain repellent surface to make cleaning easy. I'm sorry I replaced my old sheet vinyl flooring with this. I won't recommend this floor to anyone. August 4, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Gracie VERY hard to clean We have had this floor for about 9 mos. It would be a pretty floor but the grout is dark (dirty) where the traffic pattern is. It is VERY VERY hard to clean. Every spot sticks like glue. I keep finding spots that look like cement and cannot figure out where it is coming from . It's as if it is arising from the tile itself. I wish we had purchased a different product. May 23, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Gill's Excellent! wonderful product This is an excellent product. The LVT was exactly what we needed. The color, texture and warmth is perfect for our den. We elected to go with the tight fight (no grout) and it is wonderful. Two dogs equal lots of footprints and it very easy to clean and maintain. Thanks ! March 31, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Shel71 Beautiful.... it looks and feels like stone tile without the worries of cracking. This is in our kitchen and dinning area. It really made the rooms look larger. Very nice looking and feels great to walk on. Looked at other options, but went with this since it gives the rooms an updated more attractive look that is easy to maintain.. February 22, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wanted A New Floor Well worth the money We renovated our kitchen/eating area in May 2013 and we put down Alterna Luxury flooring. I love this flooring it looks like tile, is much warmer and it cleans easily. I would recommend using this product 100%. December 29, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by molly01 Great alternative to ceramic and vinyl . Easy to clean and the grout is stain resistive. Tile has been in a few weeks now and meets are expectations. Only rated durability as good because tile is new. Time will tell. Tile is a cross between vinyl and ceramic with grout joints March 14, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Derek Looks Great! Had this tile installed about a month ago, just over 2,000sq ft. Installation was simple and easy, all you have to do is read and follow the directions, though I did have an installer do most of the job. I highly recommend using the grout option with the tile, everyone who stops in are constantly complimenting how great it looks and almost no one could tell it was vinyl, they all thought it was ceramic. I love how it does NOT become slipery when wet unlike ceramics and other vinyl floors. This was a huge decision maker for me when I was shopping around. October 19, 2012
