Meet Grace Riley Occupation: Head Librarian, Main Street Library

Flooring Requirements:
After raising enough funds through community donors, Main Street Library was ready for a flooring upgrade. Grace knew the floors needed to be durable enough for heavy foot traffic with a variety of colors to help guide visitors through different areas of the library. She also wanted bright and cheerful flooring for the children’s section that was also easy to clean and maintain.

Armstrong’s Top Picks:
Vinyl Sheet and Laminate are both excellent choices for libraries, due to their easy installation and ability to endure significant foot traffic. These flooring products also promote a sterile environment for spaces such as the children’s reading area. Performance Plus Hardwood or Luxury Vinyl Tile would be ideal for conference rooms or other meeting spaces.

Additional Attributes:
Many of Armstrong’s flooring collections offer wayfinding designs to help guide visitors to their intended destination. Main Street Certified Installers also have the ability to work after-hours to ensure story time is never interrupted.
