New Espresso Cabinet Color and New Caramel and Pewter Cabinet Glaze Finishes
Armstrong Cabinet Products adds the richness of dramatically dark Espresso to its maple and cherry cabinetry options, delivering even more ways to create a distinctive, customized styled look in kitchen décor. "The Espresso color is elegant and striking. It can be simultaneously urban in appeal when in a contemporary setting, or refined in a more traditional surrounding," says Rob Glenn, director of marketing, Armstrong Cabinet Products. "For an even more sophisticated look, consider combining the intensity of this rich, dark color with a light color or natural finish on countertops and walls." Espresso has been extended to a range of Armstrong cabinet wood species and door styles, allowing homeowners to express their own personal style while achieving a distinctive look in their homes. “Species influence the appearance of the cabinet,” says Glenn. “Dark, deep Espresso is in beautiful harmony with the tight grain of maple and cherry, two popular wood species for cabinet products.” New glazing options also highlight the classic lines and elegant wood graining of Armstrong wood cabinets in cherry, maple and birch, while adding contrast between different areas of cabinetry. The new subtle Caramel Glaze Finish creates a refined element of character to the Toffee and Natural finishes in maple and birch. The classic lines of any door style can be further enhanced with the elegant Pewter Glaze . Offered only on Armstrong’s Pearl finish, this glaze highlights the cool tones in the finish for a sleek, sophisticated look with a slight metallic edge. The pewter glazing brings a fresh new look to the typically warm Pearl finish. From light to dark tones and from medium to glazed, Armstrong’s hand-applied finishes add not only color, but definition and custom tones to enhance the features of whichever door style the consumer chooses. Armstrong uses its exclusive ‘17-Step Finish Process’ on all its Genuine Allwood™ Cabinetry, beginning with the machine and hand-sanding of the door’s surface and ending by slowly baking the wood’s pre-cured topcoat.
