ARMSTRONG RESIDENTIAL CEILINGS INTRODUCES DEFINITIONS™ DECORATIVE INTERIOR ACCENTS – AN INNOVATIVE LINE OF ROOM DIVIDER PANELS

LANCASTER, Pa. (July 2, 2007) — Who says the bedroom can’t double as a TV corner? Ever think about creating a formal dining room in the kitchen? Want some privacy in that studio loft or apartment? Well, now you can – and Armstrong is making it possible.

Armstrong’s residential ceiling products are generally known in the more traditional sense, with an unwavering commitment to helping the homeowner define their space. With a brand-new line called Definitions™ Decorative Interior Accents, Armstrong is branching out in a big way to offer more contemporary panels that can be hung anywhere in the home.

Definitions bridges the traditional and contemporary with 16 new 2’ x 6’ room divider panels that create “spaces within spaces.” Lighting plays an integral role in the product’s design with dramatic and saturated tones, as well as patterns infused with real materials such as bamboo, grass, fabric or shells. The panels are ideal for the urban loft or apartment dweller – or in any home to define a space or as a decorative element.

“Definitions’ ease of installation makes it a perfect weekend project for any do-it-yourselfer,” said Rich Wiley, associate marketing manager – residential ceilings. “As a room divider or simply a wall embellishment, the variety of finishes offers something for everyone. There are limitless possibilities to liven up a space.”

Definitions panels are also perfect for the green building advocate. Comprised of hi-tech eco-resin, the panels are 100 percent recyclable. Eco-resin is made from 40 percent post-industrial reclaimed material that is nontoxic and 40 times stronger than glass.

Cohler has been tasked with designing the dining room this year. He is using Definitions™, released in March, for “The Return of the Dining Room.” The design concept uses Definitions to surround the dining room table area, effectively creating a room within a room. Cohler designed a sitting room for last year’s event.

Hung from the ceiling and anchored to the floor by a simple cable system, Armstrong includes all instructions, cables and clips needed with the panels.

The finishes include Shell, Chalk, Wave, Droplets, Linen Fern, Linen Clay, Woven Silver, Woven Gold, Fern, Crimson, Pumpkin, Sky, Leaf, Web, Grass and Bamboo. Retailing for $698 per panel, Definitions can be ordered directly from Armstrong at 866-787-6883. For more information, visit www.armstrong.com.
