ARMSTRONG RESIDENTIAL CEILINGS’ NEW METALLAIRE™ PRODUCT LINE BRINGS DECORATIVE METAL BACK TO CEILINGS
LANCASTER, Pa. (July 2, 2007) — Armstrong Building Products is committed to helping consumers, builders and re-modelers realize
the design possibilities of the ceiling – or “fifth wall.” In 2007, this commitment continues with the introduction of Metallaire™ – a brand new line of decorative metal ceiling panels. The product line’s steel and aluminum construction allows consumers
to achieve the look of a genuine pressed tin ceiling of yesteryear.
Available exclusively at Lowe’s, the Metallaire product line features 12 styles of decorative metal ceiling panels in brass,
copper, chrome, white and steel. The white finish is paintable, opening a multitude of avenues for self expression. Stainless
steel 18 1/2” x 48 1/2” backsplash panels are available for wall applications. Armstrong also offers six cornices in five finishes to complement the decorative metal
ceiling tiles.
“The unique, stately look of tin ceilings has been around for more than 100 years – but Metallaire is not just for the traditionalist,”
said Rich Wiley, associate marketing manager – residential ceilings. “It’s an incredibly versatile product that can be mixed
and matched to complement any design style. With current trends, more and more people are combining elements of different
styles, and Metallaire can help bring them together.”
Designs are available in 2' x 4' for direct application and 2' x 2' for drop-in grid applications.
Ranging from $4 to $10 per square foot, the patterns available include Small Panels, Fans, Small Floral Circle, Vine, Medallion,
Large Floral Circle, Medium Panels, Hammered Trefoil, Wreath, Bead, Large Panel and Hammered Border. For more information
