Armstrong makes two types of tongue and groove planks: Woodhaven® and HomeStyle®. Find the installation options for each below.

TONGUE AND GROOVE CEILING PLANKS

Tongue and groove ceiling planks are typically attached directly to an existing ceiling using clips and screws. WoodHaven ceilings can also be installed in a suspended grid system.

WOODHAVEN INSTALLATION OPTIONS

WoodHaven tongue and groove ceilings create a professional custom look that you can do yourself without the use of messy adhesives or special tools.

Clip System Installation
Attach planks directly to existing joists or over drywall or plaster ceilings using the clips and screws included in every plank carton.

Easy Up Guaranteed Installation System (Sold separately)
Planks can be installed using a new or existing 15/16th suspended grid system that's been modified for WoodHaven.

  1. Attach the Easy Up clips to an empty suspended grid.
  2. Clip planks into place and slide together for a flawless installation.

HOMESTYLE INSTALLATION

HOMESTYLE INSTALLATION

This mineral fiber, tongue and groove ceiling is installed with the Easy Up® Guaranteed Installation System, which includes metal tracks and snap-on clips. Installation Steps

  1. Attach metal tracks to ceiling joists.
  2. Snap on clips.
  3. Position planks and slide in clips to secure.
