Decorative Ceiling Planks
WoodHaven® decorative ceiling planks give you a stylish option for upgrading any room with the warmth and beauty of wood. The look of natural wood grain is captured with precise realism in several popular species. From rustic knotty pine and weathered driftwood to sophisticated cherry and buttery-smooth maple to the crispness of beadboard – the rich, natural colors and authentic wood textures add exciting architectural detail to your home.
WoodHaven® ceiling planks make it easy to take your room design all the way from top to bottom. Whether your home is traditional, country, contemporary, or a little bit of everything, there’s a wood ceiling plank finish that matches your decor.
Find your decorating style and a wood ceiling that fits the style:
Traditional – Gracious and inviting, traditional style blends understated elegance with the welcoming comfort of a lived-in home. Wood looks in light ash, classic maple and natural cherry will enhance your traditional home décor.
Country – Along with rustic and cottage style, country decorating celebrates the endearing qualities of antique or well-worn materials that have historical roots. Capture that country feeling with heavily grained wood ceiling plank looks in rustic pine, weathered wood, and beadboard.
Contemporary – Clean, uncluttered lines, sculptural elements, and a minimalist approach to furnishings and accessories define the contemporary style. Put a light texture on the ceiling to add contrast and warmth, like ceiling planks in natural maple, painted white, and bamboo.
- Dark colors can make a ceiling feel lower, while light colors create the illusion of more height in a room.
- Paintable white planks give you the freedom to color-match with latex paint or custom stains.
Ceiling Plank Construction Advantages
Woodhaven ceiling planks look just like natural wood, but they’re actually made of MDF (medium density fiberboard). This material offers greater dimensional stability than real wood ceiling planks, which means they won’t shrink or expand with seasonal fluctuations in temperature or humidity.
You can install WoodHaven planks in any room in your home, including the basement and bathrooms.
Easy DIY Installation
Woodhaven's tongue-and-groove system can be installed one of two ways: with WoodHaven metal clips or with Easy Up® retrofit clips in a suspended grid installation.
With the metal clips installation, you simply attach the planks directly to existing joists, or over drywall or plaster ceilings using the clips included in every plank carton.
You can also use an existing or new 15/16th suspended grid system and modify it to install WoodHaven planks.
Either way, ceiling plank installation is an easy, one-person task that can be completed over a weekend.
